Instructions
  1. Position oven rack in upper third of oven; preheat broiler to high. Line a large baking sheet with foil.
  2. Combine Splenda and cardamom together in a small mixing bowl. Transfer 1 tablespoon to a small saucepan.
  3. With a knife, remove the white pith and rind from 5 oranges. Slice into ½ inch rounds. Place on the prepared baking sheet, and sprinkle with the remainder of the Splenda & cardamom mixture.
  4. Broil until the oranges are lightly browned around the edges --- about 5-10 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, juice and zest the remaining orange. Add the zest, ½ cup of juice and vanilla to the saucepan with Splenda and cardamom. Bring to a boil over medium – high heat and cook until reduced in half; about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and whisk in Benacol light.
  7. Transfer the oranges to a platter and drizzle with the syrup, then top with pistachios.
