New Blood Pressure Guidelines

The American College of Cardiology, the American Heart Association, and 9 other health care organizations are now supporting a new blood pressure recommendation. 130/80 is your goal.

Problems of the Heart and Circulatory System:

Unfortunately, carrying extra weight can contribute to diseases that damage the heart. The list includes coronary artery disease, high blood pressure, heart attack, pulmonary embolism, and stroke. If your doctor says you are at risk for these conditions, or if you’ve already suffered from these problems, you are probably aware that you need to address your weight, diet, and exercise.
